Group Facilitation

Over the past 10 years, I have facilitated mindfulness meditation groups & workshops for organizations, mental health facilities, and corporations. I have led groups at the public library, universities, the corporate workplace, and mental health facilities.

Mindfulness meditation is an evidence-based stress reduction meditation practice. By definition, mindfulness is the practice of purposefully directing attention into the present experience and learning to non-judgmentally observe thoughts, emotions, & feelings as they come and go. Over time, sustained practice helps participants to develop more present-focus, self-awareness & relaxation, which are the 3 primary contributing factors to stress reduction.

Description: During these groups, participants will learn what the core tenets of mindfulness are, why practicing mindfulness can lead to stress reduction, and how to practice mindfulness and then begin to develop a meditation practice at home. Each group will include an educational overview, practice instructions, and a 15-minute guided meditation. Handouts can also be provided for participants, if desired. This workshop will teach you how developing a short daily meditation practice can significantly reduce the excess mental and emotional stress that unknowingly collects during our busy lives.
